There's something I say all the time, and it's something I try to live by, too. It's something that really helps me when I feel overwhelmed, and it's something that helps me muddle through revisions, synopses, submissions, outlines, and every single less-than-fun part of the writing process.
What is it? Why, that old chestnut from Nike: Just do it.
The way I see it, it's worse if you put it off and put it off and put it off (unless it's putting away dishes--in that case, put it off as long as possible, because, geez). If you have revisions to do, putting it off just makes you more and more reluctant to actually sit down and start reading through your WiP. Likewise with everything else.
My to-do list for today is epic and horrible and evil and probably given to me by the devil himself. But I'm going to try not to dwell on that and just do it. I'm going to get everything done in a timely manner, finish what I have to do, and then sit back and enjoy the fact that I did it and it's over with.
So, folks, take a page from Nike's book: Just do it.

That slogan is one of the best of all time and I use it regularly. Yup, just do it. You'll be glad.
